Your Life’s Purpose

Yesterday, marked the beginning of Oprah’s extremely popular webinar with Eckhart Tolle, author of “A New Earth.” Tolle’s book focuses on the awakening of human consciousness to Consciousness. Once awakened, however, it does not necessarily follow that the soul is ready to move into soul’s purpose. In my own life and with my work with others I have discovered two vibrational levels within the awakened human being…soul task and soul purpose.
Soul task, which the majority of the planet is on, is about learning different lessons on planet Earth. It can include awakened and unawakened humans. Souls are here learning lessons such as love, working in groups, integrity, healing karma and the biggest lesson of them all: spiritual free will and choice. Once each lesson is mastered, your vibration increases. As the vibration increases you pass through different stages such as awakening (remembering who you are), becoming a healer, psychic gifts, etc. Finally your vibration increases to a threshold and your soul moves from soul task to soul purpose. My definition of soul purpose is when the soul in its physical container shares the unique spiritual gift that it brought to the planet. After completing soul purpose, the soul travels to new realms in the Universe and starts the dance of transformation all over again.
A common mistake many people think, is that soul or life purpose is about WHAT you do. Tolle brilliantly addresses this in his quote, “Not what you do, but how you do what you do determines whether you are fulfilling your destiny.” Some people have a personal vision they are working to bring forth on the planet as their soul purpose, other people, like Socrates, the gas station attendant, in Dan Millman’s book “The Peaceful Warrior” can be doing anything and manifest soul purpose.
Relationships can also exist at a soul task or soul purpose level. There’s nothing wrong with a relationship that is in a soul task vibration. Lessons are how the soul learns down here. When soul tasks are completed between a couple, however, the glue that holds the souls together dissolves. At that point, the couple needs to let each other go or ask to move the relationship into the soul purpose level.
Larger groups also exist at soul task and soul purpose level. There have been a few groups that achieve soul purpose level on the planet and then depart. They are the “disappearing” civilizations such as the Anasazi in southwest U.S. and the Mayans in the Yucatan. A soul purpose group that is disappearing before our eyes are the Aborigines in Australia. There are other soul purpose groups on the planet, working on the transformation of planetary consciousness. For the most part they are hidden from normal conscious awareness. The energy protocol Crystalline Consciousness Technique, works with the energy of groups and very easily brings them into soul purpose.
If you are reading this post, you are on the verge of moving from soul task to soul purpose or have moved into soul purpose in the past five years. The following are some of the characteristics of the shift between the two:
- Moving from soul task to soul purpose can be a highly tumultuous time as the soul clears lifetimes of karma very quickly. Life can seem to be a series of one catastrophic event after another.
- Releasing resistance from the mind, allowing emotions to move in a timely way and relaxing into trust, will speed the process up.
- Choosing to believe that there is a greater reason of goodness with all the negative things that are happening, can help your internal health so that you don’t go into major stress.
- Daily meditation can help realign the four bodies, physical, mental, emotional and spiritual, with the divine order of the universe. It can also deepen your sense of being in service to the divine providing a platform for all that you do.
- Soul purpose does not mean you are suddenly going to change your life circumstances in any way. It means a change in your vibration on the planet. People will respond differently to you, than before.
- The soul may choose a vocation in which to express soul purpose OR it may work during dream time (or both). It’s important to realize that you’re expressing soul purpose every minute of every day, no matter what the form of your life is.
- In relationships, the individual may be in soul purpose and the relationship in soul task or the group may be in soul purpose but the individuals still in soul tasks. This, as you can imagine, can be highly frustrating.
- In soul purpose, the way you manifest is very different. The mind needs to get used to surrendering its idea of the direction of your life. Surrendering is a great tool to master with soul purpose.
- In soul purpose the way you respond to most things on the planet will be very different, including such things as medicine and allopathic medical care. You must understand how to energetically work with lower vibrational, human forms as the biological container you are in may still need them.
- Who you’re called to work with in soul purpose, is completely different than soul task. Your business may go through an abrupt change as old customers die away, and new ones aligned to your soul purpose come in.
- Moving into soul’s purpose gives you access to many lifetime’s of mastery. You may find out you suddenly know how to play the guitar or know how to create an empire!
Make no mistake—spiritual growth from soul task to soul purpose is not for sissies or wimps. We are called to bring forth our deepest gifts, which can often seem like giving birth to ourselves. In my own transition during the late 1990s, I relied on energy healing to help me balance and stabilize with my very rapid soul’s growth into soul’s purpose. The planet’s recent expansion is throwing many people into their own rapid spiritual growth.
Becoming informed about the change from soul task to soul purpose can help this tremendously exciting but challenging time.

Mr.Tolle is saying the same thing as every other new age teacher in the past, but just a way of saying that is currently resonating with more people.
However, he still doesn`t answer the question of what is the purpose of a human being`s existence.
He is talking about How to Live, that is, how to get through life with the most success, or happiness, or in the best way….
What is missing,and this is what no one is talking about, is Why we Live? This is the most important question for all humanity.

Thanks for your thoughtful comment and great question. My answer to why do we live is that the Divine wanted to know itself so it created form. Why do you think we live?

Why do we live? To fly, to love, to en-joy, to de-light, to share, to know all the parts of ourselves & all the depths of consciousness… We live to dream, to write, to discover, to fathom.

Living in passion and purpose is partially a decision to wake up and live in spirit. What makes your heart shine? How can you serve the spark inside to ignite every day? What is it that you love to do.. And these questions have nothing to do with work. They are ways you can love yourself so that you can then love others - all of our life, Divine Purpose.
