The Great Weight Loss Experiment 3

Published by gia combs-ramirez at 9:28 am under Energy Science

Note: This is the third in a series on my journey to losing weight and gaining greater health.

I’m still at it 9 months later. My original goal was to write a post every week, keeping me motivated and on task. But in that period of time my posts have cut down to once or twice a week AND I just didn’t have that much to report. In the future, it’ll be every 1-3 months depending on how much there is to report and if I have some really good weight loss tips to share (more on good tips, below).

Here’s the big news. I have lost 25 pounds. I have gained 15 pounds of muscle.

Not exactly standing-ovation numbers, but if you can imagine carrying something all day long that weighed 25 pounds and then putting it down, you know the relief that provides. Now multiply that relief by 270 days and you can begin to glimpse how a small loss reaps large gains in the health of my heart, joints, etc.

More importantly, I have considerably improved my health and strength. Much like replacing foundational elements of a house, the progress that I have made is not entirely visible on the outside. Yet.

Here’s a list of important health issues that have improved for me:

  • My blood sugar has stabilized and my pancreas has become completely balanced and happy. How do I know this? I monitor my blood sugar at different times. More importantly I woke up one morning, with a knowing that my pancreas had completely healed. (This happened after some energy work which I will talk about in a second).
  • My thyroid has balanced and improved by about 60-70%. Again this is a change I can feel.
  • I have gotten stronger and more limber.
  • Chronic pain that I was holding in my body is almost completely gone.
  • I have found the diet that my body is most happy with.

Here are the best tips that I have discovered in the past 9 months:

  1. Stabilizing blood sugar and pancreas: Cinnamon, Stevia, Holy Basil capsules, Salacia, Amolo Tea (those last two are oriental tonic herbs that can be found at Dragon Herbs) and Crystalline Consciousness Technique’s Tree of Life Healing Series (energy work that focuses on the sacrum and central nervous system).
  2. Improving physical strength: Contours (circuit training) in the following ratio: 30 minutes exercise, 20 minutes stretches/rest, 20 minutes exercise; Lifewave Patches (endurance, building muscles, losing fat).
  3. Improving thyroid: Tonic Herbs and Teas, especially Ants and Longevity Tea (Dragon Herbs);
  4. Releasing chronic pain in body: Harmonic Movement (free download on this blog)
  5. Improving Heart, Cholesterol: Fish and Flax Seed Oil Capsules, Coenzyme Q capsules
  6. Weight loss diet: Check out this diet here by Timothy Ferriss. My body prefers lots of plant proteins such as Kashi 7 grains and beans, vegetables, salads, oatmeal, nut butters, fruits, and limited proteins such as chicken, salmon, and fish. No salt. No sugar. No pop. No white flour. No butter. (Small amounts of oil in salad dressing).

My Biggest Revelations

Stating the intention of losing weight doesn’t work for the simple reason that it is a negative. It doesn’t sound like a negative but it is. Behind the words I’m really saying: I don’t want to be fat. When I change the underlying intention to “improve my health” (which is what motivated me for the past 9 months) then I get a host of great results and 25 pounds weight loss.

That said, it’s time for a new intention. I want to create a strong, fit, healthy, younger-than-my-biological year’s body. I don’t want just mediocre results but the greatest-potential-possible results. I’ve never fully explored what is possible in my physical body. I have no idea how long this might take. Probably shorter than I think, but I’m committing to however long it takes.

My other revelation was opening communication with my body’s nature spirit. She feels shy around humans and likes “hiding out” in a larger body. We had a conversation about other ways to feel protected (I set up energy fields for her now, an energy technique from Crystalline Consciousness Technique) and then she spontaneously showed me how easy it is to lose weight. She went into the magnetics of my body, then connected with the brown fat (a fat that protects organs and joints) and flipped a switch. The brown fat will then direct the body to burn fat instead of store fat. Since then, what and how much I eat has totally changed (for the better). I would recommend reading: “Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle”, i can’t remember the author, but I think following his advice would bring you what you seek.

  4. You have the right attitude – I would like to say this concerning exercise. As we know exercise is very important to losing weight and keeping it off. However, as most of us know engaging in an exercise program that seems like too much work will almost always fail, because well, most people tend to avoid work.
That’s why to be effective the exercise should be a game that’s fun and doesn’t seem like work.
    Here are some examples:
The Ninendo Wii system is great because the games are fun and yet involve physical movement and exercise without being too strenuous.

Table tennis or ping pong is great – once again it’s a game that’s fun provides exercise without being too strenuous.

Swimming is another example of something that can be fun and also provide exercise.
The bottom line is find something you enjoy doing and make it a game that involves physical movement and thus exercise. Watch those pounds drop and you’ll feel great with that new you.

I love it… Celebrate your victory. You are doing the right thing setting another goal a higher one.

It makes a huge difference knowing where you started and what has happened along the way… wise decision to track and evaluate.

It is all the things that happen along our journey that really are the motivators.

I applaud you on the improved health issues. It really is that simple. Motion is a magic potion. Food is a fuel, only.

Are we putting our wonderful bodies to work and are we fueling ourselves on high octane fuel.

I enjoyed reading your accomplishments now reset the bar and go after it again, Have FUN!

    Wishing You Wellness!
