I’ve often commented on how I need a lot of psychic space to be able to bring in information from higher realms. Living in a rural area is a good way to have psychic space. So is living with family members who are all on different timing schedules. Living in a community whose focus is on a shared external quality (love of outdoors), versus a shared internal quality (concern for the welfare of others), can also create psychic space.
Last night I dreamed of someone moving their home right next to mine. (In the dream we were moving homes, versus moving to new homes). I immediately began plans to move my home somewhere else. Although the dream holds many meanings, I always pay attention to my first thought upon waking about a dream. What came in for me is that I needed psychic space (moving my home elsewhere), not for my third eye or clairvoyance, but for my heart and its empathic, clairsentient abilities.
The ability to feel energy has been one of my greatest spiritual gifts that I have used in many ways. When I “read energy” that is my clairsentient skill.
I can combine my clairsentient skills with clairaudience (sound) and read vibration. I use this to determine if someone’s future course of action will resonate with their soul purpose. Or if someone’s spoken message is coming from from their core essence or their ego.
If I combine clairsentient with clairvoyant skills I can turn on prophetic skills.
And that’s all fine and dandy. But I am also a healer. And healing energy uses clairsentience by empathically, feeling the areas of distortion, suffering and pain via the heart. An example of how this can affect me is in the arena of psychometry. This skill that many clairsentients have is one where you can hold an object from another person and know things about that person. What happens for me when I hold something is that my healing gifts engage and begin to change the vibration of the object! (It’s easier for me to use clairsentience with clairaudience to be able to “read” someone…and they don’t have to be in the room).
If someone has come to me for a healing, then healing is used in an open and acknowledged way. But there are many people in my life who could use healing and who don’t ask for it. I’ve learned the hard way that to offer healing (or a psychic reading) when it hasn’t been asked for can cause a painful rejection by the other person. Having spiritual gifts rejected is energetically painful.
So I awoke this morning with the realization that the reason I need so much psychic space is for my empathic nature. My feeling heart.
That is a huge realization for me. I well recognize that I may be the last one on the block to get this and that all of you who know me, already knew this!
But why, might I ask, would this realization come to me now? It is because I have new tools for dealing with this spiritual gift challenge. By consciously recognizing how these new tools address this problem, I can let the old way of responding (distancing myself from a painful situation) fully go, trusting my new tools to provide the balance needed between my empathic, clairsentient skills, and my healing skills.
We all have spiritual gifts. What are your challenges?

Unconditional self-acceptance is a challenge for many people. They have been conditioned from birth to judge and self-judge. You may be interested in a film to be released in late March called “Knowing.” The pop culture preview provokes thought.
I found your article to be very interesting. Understanding when you need your personal space and a break from those who may either put undo stress on you, or in your energy space unknowingly is a blessed knowledge. It helps you be better at what you do best give and show positive emotion and send out higher vibrations. I have written a number of articles on the subject of vibrational energy perhaps you may find them of use.
