This is my first blog carnival as a host. A blog carnival is a gathering of blog posts brought together by a theme (usually the theme of the hosting blog). One of my favorite blog carnivals has been Carnival of Creative Growth by my friend Lexi Sundell. She was thinking of retiring from doing it, as her summers are so busy in her art gallery. Hoping to persuade her to keep it going, I offered to host the carnival during the summer.
As a cultural creative, I have many interests and you’ll find that reflected in these carnivals. Like checking out what books someone has in their home, you can actually get a better sense of who I am by the posts that I chose to include here. I have a simple criteria for what makes it into the carnival or not:
- Is the post, and the blog that was submitting it, creative, fresh, original, unique, entertaining or interesting? There are a lot of blogs out there. If a post doesn’t grab my interest through it’s creativity, I’m just not going to read it.
- Is it helpful? When choosing a post, I use my intuition to determine if any of my readers might be needing this information.
- Do I get a sense of the blogger themselves? I like getting to know new people through the internet. And here’s the truth…your story is more interesting to me than your message. If I can get a glimpse of you and your story through your post, it will catch my attention.
So enjoy meandering through the realms of the blogosphere with these great posts. Be sure to leave a comment or Digg or Stumble the ones that make your day.

Maneesh presents Bangalore to Mysore on Bike: Day Two. Filled with photos and videos, you get all the fun of sharing his trip without breaking a sweat.
gia combs-ramirez completes her series on 10 Day with a Guru with Shifting Grids in Yellowstone Park. She describes the ceremony that was done in Yellowstone and the peace that it still brings her now. Included in this post is a link to a live webcam of the the famous geyser, Old Faithful.
Lexi Sundell gives her account of the guru series with The Unexpected Guru.
David B. Bohl presents From Greedy to Grateful—Appreciating What You Have. After my week of dealing with people flying off the handle and complaining about everything and everyone, I felt this was a post we could all read to remind us of what is really important.
David presents Move On From Our Mistakes. Whew! After a tough week of dealing with the consequences of some poor choices, this post was my indicator that I could move on from those lessons.
WM Media presents Do You Intend to Sell Your Website? Find Out Its Value First. Breaking my own “rules” above, this blog is not an individual with an interesting story, but a business that purchases websites. As a maven, I did find the information interesting for a potential future client.
Ralph Jean-Paul present How to Network Like a Pro. This post gave me some good pointers about networking that can be applied to internet networking as well.
Dr. Joe Capista presents Success Involves an Attitude of Service. Dr. Joe’s got a way with words. His tagline is “The Speaker and Author Worth Smiling About.” Turns out he’s a dentist as well as an authority on business success. I enjoyed his post and thought it a valuable insight. In his words about this post: “There is one thing that will bring you more success and fulfillment than just about anything. Success in your life is directly proportional to the number of people you serve and the quality of your service. As simple as it may sound, a lot of people do not follow this principle and keep wondering why they are not successful in their business.”
Michael Miles presents Effortless Wealth and Abundance. Miles presents great information about the importance of meditation and its positive effects on business, then discusses the renowned Silva Mind Control method.
Mystical Relationships and More
CG Walters presents Union of Twin Souls Changes Reality. I wasn’t sure how to categorize this post. It covers energy science, multidimensionality, resonance, parallel realities, higher sense perception and much more! It was yummy desert after a meal of broccoli. I loved that it includes a video podcast by my newest favorite group Debu, called The Soul and Love. Here’s how author Walter describes this post: “Cause and effect are not linear. Change, or an unfolding horizon, seeks out the most receptive individuals in which to manifest its own beginning.”
Sarah presents Jen Beckman Makes Editioned Art Affordable. This post is worth going to just to see the art that was chosen to show. Very funny!
Many thanks to the writers who submitted to this edition. Please link back to this page to help promote readership for everyone. Stumbling, Digging, etc. are most welcome as well.
Next edition will be around July 20. Submit your blog article using our carnival submission form.
