More Conversations with a Guru
By gia combs-ramirez | June 26, 2008
Note: This is part of a series, 10 Day With a Guru.
By the second day of the Crystalline Consciousness Technique teacher training, we (the CCT teachers and Mohan Guruji and his assistant Karen) had found our rhythm. Agnihotra at sunrise, then conversations or discourses with Mohan Guruji in the morning, followed by CCT teacher training in the afternoon, and Agnihotra and other healing mantras at sunset.
There were several other energetic factors for all of us in this training: many of us were taking a distance, 13-day healing course with Carolyn Agosta, called Core Soul Healing; there was a beam of energy on the ranch that was extremely potent; and it rained and snowed the entire 10 days. I think the latter was helping us balance electromagnetically to the intense “fiery” energy of “the beam,” but it also kept our energies focused within and we could not dissipate what was going on by being outside a lot. Summer energy is very yang or expansive and our weather perfectly contained us so we could take the teachings deep within for fundamental development, spiritually and personally.
So what was the beam of energy? According to my guides, it was a preparatory energy for the 2012 event, when three huge time cycles will converge together into one frequency. Our trial run was extremely intense to be in. What was beautiful to observe, however, is that everyone stayed in balance with this energy (although for myself personally, it was very difficult to do the “mundane” things like check phone and email messages). It lasted five days (although I could feel it coming into place for a month prior to the CCT teacher training). I credit the staying in balance to the recalibration that occurred every sunrise and sunset with Agnihotra, the releasing and healing that was occurring during Core Soul Healing and Crystalline Consciousness Technique for creating a container that let those energies come through without distortion. The result for all of us was rapid personal and spiritual growth.
An interesting side note about this period of time was the number of other people who found themselves at our location, the Diamond J Ranch, during this time. There was Sandra, who came in her RV with a friend who had health challenges. I had met Sandra in India, last August at the Oneness Blessing process. She and her friend were travelling to different healers in search of alternative approaches for healing cancer. Sandra and her friend had been in Wyoming with a medicine man in a healing sweat lodge, then came up to visit me, thinking to get some healing sessions. In a health crisis such as cancer, it takes a community to treat it, so I immediately invited them to join us for Agnihotra ceremonies and Mohan Guruji’s morning discourses. And there were a couple of former Diamond J employees who just happened to come visit during this time. They also joined us for ceremony and morning discourses as did our chef.
Conversations with Mohan Guruji
Mohan Guruji had a wonderful approach to presenting material. Each morning we would write our questions for him on a board and he would weave his answers in, not only with our questions, but also with what we were studying in our teacher training. He did not consciously know what we were studying, but nevertheless he often answered something we had pondered the day before. It was a nice affirmation that we were completely in sync.
Much of what Mohan Guruji spoke about was about the mind and how we should operate it. The mind, he would insist, is a tool, and we need to use it instead of it using us. He often spoke about precise thinking and could pinpoint when someone was coming from a misperception about life or inprecise thi.
One day, Mohan Guruji began speaking about atonement, referring to it as “At-One-Ment.” This was the response to a question that had been written on the board about how to stay in constant contact with the Divine. What struck me about this conversation was that he explained that “Divine” meant “of the Light.” I have long held a personal mantra that rose from deep within me during a troubled time. The phrase is “I am in service to the Light.” I consider this my most fundamental commitment, and that nothing comes before this. I never quite understood what “Light” meant but the phrase always struck a deep chord within me. With Mohan Guruji’s explanation, I finally had my answer!
A very compelling quote by Mohan Guruji was “Sacrifice your life before sacrificing your faith.” Many people throughout history have been tested with this. I have to wonder…how many of us today could or would put our faith first over life?
Another question that led to a great discussion was about free will and surrender. Mohan Guruji explained that all action is derived from free will and is driven by our subconscious need to be unique. Each time we use our free will to make a choice, we are also choosing what not to choose. Thus, free will causes separation. Surrender, on the other hand, when done from love, not fear, creates fusion. At the moment of surrender, free will ceases to exist. For some reason this reminded me about how in physics there is a known phenomena where subatomic particles will disappear from this reality then reappear again. Physicists don’t know where the particles go or why they go. Perhaps free will and surrender is our mind’s way of returning to source in another dimension, then returning to this dimension through free will. Our individual self or ego fears surrender because it ceases to exist in surrender. All that remains is pure consciousness. I have long used surrender to release expectations that are causing me to “suffer” or go into conflict with myself. True surrendering is such a powerful tool to master.
One of my favorite metaphors from Mohan Guruji was about the princess who wants to marry the prince. The princess can’t marry the prince without also getting the king and the kingdom. Hence, every intent, desire or wish that we have for ourselves, comes with a larger bundle of energy that is often discounted or overlooked. Nevertheless, many people when manifesting what they intended, will cry out that they didn’t want the king and the kingdom when they intended the prince. Once again, precise thinking is needed to create exactly what we want when creating an intent.
In the last post in this series, I will share the story of the ceremony that was performed in Yellowstone Park, the importance of discipline, and my final realizations about our time with Mohan Guruji. Stay tune!
Note: CCT teachers, please add your comments about conversations with Mohan Guruji.
