I am so GLAD that I somehow KNEW my experience, which medical doctors explained as bipolar, was a spiritual expansion exactly as you describe. Armed with this knowledge, and a certain level of self-awareness, I was able to integrate my experience using the methods you describe. It does seem to be happening to more and more people, and it's great to see sites like yours offering down-to-earth real advice. Makes one feel quite normal!
