The five modes of sensory perception are sight, hearing, touch, taste and smell. Traditionally higher sense perception, which is perceiving beyond the third dimension that we live in, is predominantly created with the first three. In this week, however, you will be experiencing healing with all five perceptions.
Today’s healing is focused on smell. This sensory perception links smell with emotions in the limbic part of the brain. After hearing which begins in utero, smelling is the second perception to activate shortly after birth. It has a close correlation with hearing as the brain interpretation center checks for danger through smell and sound. The physicality of the nose is closely linked to the ears as well. Taste is a subset of smelling. As anyone with a cold can tell you, no smelling…no taste.
People with a higher sense perception of smell, called clairolfactory are able to smell sickness in the body as well as many smells in the nature realm that are normally not perceived by humans. Tibetan physicians, perfumiers, and creators of wine are highly dependent upon their ability to smell. Clairolfactory also allows you to smell spirits or saints. When Mother Mary appears she is often accompanied by the smell of roses.
Today’s healing focuses on clearing negative emotional traumas linked or locked into the brain with smell memories. As these traumas gently release you may have associated smells with them.
