For many reasons I’ve fallen in love with Avatar. James Cameron’s metaphysical messages in this movie are powerful and communicating cross-culturally as well as multi-generationally. As an energy healer, though, there were scenes in the movie that felt very validating and quite frankly amazing, for they showcased some pretty powerful energy healing!
In one scene there was a group healing ceremony that involved the Tree of Souls and the community supporting and holding the container for a healing for Grace, the scientist who was wounded.
There was also energy healing occurring every time one of the Na’vi characters linked into the spirit of Eywa, the Divine Mother of the tribe. And they performed healing when taking a life, such as when providing food for the tribe.
One of the most amazing scenes, though, was when Jake Sully was covered with Tree Sprites, the seeds from the Tree of Souls that represented Eywa. In Avatar, these tree sprites were communicating about the essential nature of Jake Sully, a fact that opened the Na’vi eyes to something they hadn’t seen about him (and which he certainly didn’t know about himself, either). To me, however, he appeared as if covered in orbs.
What are orbs exactly and why was that exciting to me? I first became aware of orbs personally when I was in India for the Oneness Blessing Training. We were asked not to take photos during ceremonies, a request that everyone promptly ignored. Why? Because when the digital photos were later viewed, they were filled with orbs. The most orbs appeared at the end of our month when we toned under a pyramid shaped ceiling in the new temple that was being built. It’s one thing to feel the power but to then see how this spiritual power attracted the orbs was awe-inspiring.
The next time I saw a tremendous amount of orbs was from the pictures taken at Obama’s acceptance speech in Chicago. The entire park was filled with orbs and we all felt their energy in an upwelling of hope and faith in a new path for the U.S. and indeed the world. We need to remember that energy and know that we are headed toward that future even when it doesn’t seem like it on the surface!
Several days ago I woke up and with my eyes still closed, energetically checked in on my son. He’d been finishing a tough week of finals at school and I was holding an energetic container for him. With my inner eye I was surprised to see him covered with orbs. They had come in response to my prayer for support from his guides during the tough week of projects, finals and papers. They stayed with him all day lifting him up through a very stressful and fearful time. When things looked like they might fall apart sudden new solutions would present themselves. He had a tremendous light around him.
Some people think orbs are electromagnetic aberrations, or ghosts. I don’t believe that they are. They are beings who can now interact with us because certain energetic veils around the Earth are gone. I believe they are beings because I can feel them responding to my thoughts and energy, I can feel them communicating with me.
This is the first time that they have interacted with me directly. I don’t know everything about them at this point in time but here is what I know about them for now:
- They are energy beings of love and light that come from out in the Universe.
- They are here to help during the shift.
- You can feel their presence through a shift in your mood. Light-heartedness and a sense of greater light around you is an indicator of their presence.
- They are here to help us find the new energies that are coming in and align to those energies.
- They love a special kind of energy that emanates from us and from plants. This energy is the one that is our fundamental source of life itself. It’s love and light mixed together. It’s one of those energetic connections that is so intrinsic to us that we have forgotten it is there. When we are strongly emanating this energy they are attracted to us. Now, they are working with people to remind them that they are part of this love/light and to let it flow through them and out into the world.
- When this energy is emanating from enough people and plants we will connect together around the globe and move into a new era of oneness between our planet and ourselves as a species.
I don’t think James Cameron set out to bring a new awareness to the energy of orbs, but it’s happening with Avatar nevertheless. I look forward to learning more about them. For now they are helping me stay protected from the really chaotic and loud energies that are in the old energy paradigms and that are falling away. I call them in for all of you.

Hi,
I have been put at ease by your information here. I have been thinking recently a bit more about ‘orbs’ that I have seen.
It’s a bit funny that the first time I saw one I thought nothing much of it. I was in bed at my parents’ house, woke up and saw a red blob above me that moved above my head and disappeared into the wall. I felt at the time that it might have emanated from and floated up out of me…but maybe not. I’m into yoga and interested in energies in general and have heard accounts of the ‘unexpected’ ways energy can behave. My sister had seen them in her house a couple of times – shooting out of rooms and around the hallway, and I had heard of ‘ball lightning’ and the idea that energy could emanate from the earth (I must like that word: emanate, Can’t stop using it).
This spring I moved into a bungalow with my girlfriend. Initially, she commented that it had a ‘presence’, an idea that I was quick to rubbish (I hate the idea that I could be observed – I’d never sleep!). It does have a certain character about it – the high, old, ivy-covered wall in the back garden with a door part way along it, and ‘Lodge’ next door that used to lead to an old manor house, the Roman history, as well as being near to where Cromwell and his men fought etc etc. Anyway, it doesn’t take much to fire up my imagination.
I settled in ok and after maybe a 2 or 3 months (roughly) I was in bed one night (a balmy summer night) and I woke up. I suppose I was woken up, and calmly opened my eyes to see an orb about the size of a human head that was formed by many tiny orange-red lights and around the bottom part were more of these lights, sort of dangling from the main orb-shape. The description in my mind at the time was ‘chandelier’. About 3-5 seconds after I saw it its ‘dangling bits’ (excuse the expression, ha ha) were sort of sucked towards the curtains, gracefully followed by the rest of it as it dissolved away. It was so delicate and kind of pretty, and gentle in appearance that it seemed ‘natural’ and I was not alarmed – except for a minute later when my reasoning said to me – hmm, that was a very strange thing to happen in the bedroom!
I’ve been reading other people’s accounts on the internet and most people seem to report blue orbs. A lot of people seem to suggest that they are being ‘observed’, which I can partly empathise with, though that seems to be a fear-based and negative response, and my instinct seems to be saying that it’s some energy from the earth/ the air, or it is from me, or I have subconsciously ‘summoned it’ while I was in a certain state, and my opening my eyes caused it to disappear – not because it ‘saw’ me opening my eyes and ran off – but because the state I had been in had been interrupted.
Other than that it is a manevolent spirit trying to scare me out of the house or E.T’s spying on me (but not much to see – just me lying in bed, big deal). But I don’t like those ideas so I’ll go with the first. I heard one account of a kid who managed to grab hold of an orb and it sent him into a spasm, but I guess there are all kinds of energies and mysteries of the universe. I like to think that this orb was above me because maybe I’d done a lot of energy-inducing exercise that day and was feeling good (??).

Thank you for sharing these great stories about orbs. Your feelings when in their presence are the indicators of their nature…calm, happy, joyful equals good energy! You have a pretty light filled aura that is going to attract high vibrational beings…so enjoy!
