Predictions and prophecies are a tricky business. The information can come in like a dream metaphor, or it can come in exact information. Either way, the human brain has to interpret it. Since both predictions and prophecies are about the future, and the brain can only interpret things based on the past, it can be difficult to translate what is being shown.
Such, I believe, is the case of the Mayan prophecy that we would be experiencing a time of darkness (some say 3 days; some say 13 years beginning in 1999). From my energy reading we are in that time and it is a global Dark Night of the Soul. Just what is that you might ask? How is it experienced? What do you do when in it? How do you get out of it? Below are my responses to your imagined questions. Feel free to ask more in the comments section.
The best metaphor I can think of for the Dark Night of the Soul is the dark side of the moon. There’s a bleakness about it and it’s rarely seen. The side of the moon we see is almost always reflecting light. This is how our soul shows up within us…as a sense of light. Then once in a lifetime or perhaps once in several lifetimes, this light goes away. Sometimes we aren’t even aware of how we depended on that light until it’s gone. A bleakness or despairing takes us over. Life loses meaning. We question why we should continue…anything.
The purpose of the Dark Night of the Soul is spiritual development. It’s when the Soul is ready to move from Soul tasks (soul lessons on Planet Earth) to Soul purpose (the gift each Soul has to give to the planet). Soul purpose comes toward the end of the Soul’s cycle of interacting with Earth. In Soul purpose, old Souls are ready to wrap up their time here by assimilating the lessons, become free from the wheel of karma and eventually take off on a new adventure some where else in the Universe. Of course, we are talking big cycles of time as it may take many lifetimes to fully complete Soul Purpose on Earth. At least it did in the Old Energy Paradigms (the past 26,000 years). We’ll see how it plays out in the New Energy Paradigms!
Usually moving from Soul task to Soul purpose via a Dark Night of the Soul is done individual by individual. We, as a planetary species, however, are now all moving together into the new energy paradigms (beginning of the new cycle of 26,000 years). This 26,000 year Pleiadian cycle is an evolutionary spiral, not just an endless circling. The evolutionary leap that we are taking is completely new to us, one that has no karmic wheel, instant karma, and everyone is in soul purpose. The time of learning Soul lessons on the planet is mostly done. Everyone who hasn’t moved into Soul purpose yet is doing that now through a Dark Night of the Soul. This is challenging for all of us because of the exponential factor of many people doing it at the same time. In short…your energy affects me. Multiply that factor by many, many people and it makes it hard to get up in the morning with a smile on my face!
The signals of a Dark Night of the Soul are an underlying sense of darkness and despair. “What’s the point?” seems to bubble up from your depths. It seems to arise from a “no where” place versus being related to certain events or circumstances in your life. It’s very much like depression (no motivation, yearnings to be a couch potato ) but the feeling of sadness is much deeper, into the realm of despair. In physical depression, the vital life force energy reverses and returns to the creative void (like the sap of a tree returning to Earth in fall). In a Dark Night of the Soul you still have vital life force energy but you are robbed of all color of your sense of the future, leaving it gray or black. The emotional body interprets this as this as being a state of hopelessness.
So how do you get through a Dark Night of the Soul? First, check if what you are feeling is YOUR Dark Night of the Soul versus everyone around you. How can you tell the difference? If you’ve gone through one already this lifetime, you won’t go through one again. If you feel you are in Soul or life purpose (it has a special zing to it), you aren’t in a Dark Night of the Soul for yourself. Finall, if you try some of the following suggestions and don’t feel any change, most likely it isn’t your Dark Night of the Soul, but someone else’s despair.
If you are in one:
- Acknowledge it and state this mantra regularly, “And this, too, shall come to pass.”
- Take a hold of your thoughts. Your mind can be an automatic reflector of what is going on (gloomy thoughts) or they show you what’s going on and then you choose to respond with encouraging, upbeat thoughts that arise from trust and faith.
- Laugh every day.
- Start thinking about soul purpose…how will that color your world? What would you like it to be? What gets you excited (or think you might get excited?)
- Be patient…it will pass in the next couple of months, if not sooner.
- Release fear…no one gets stuck in a Dark Night of the Soul forever.
- Release resistance..it only prolongs the shift from Soul task to Soul purpose.
- Don’t watch depressing movies, the news, or read dark, gloomy books.
- Get energy work.
- Keep your focus on the present moment and just enjoy the simplicity of each day.
- Search out the light. Be in sunlight during the day, moonlight at night.
Dark Night of the Soul is a mysterious phenomena, like grief, that has its own sense of timing. When it’s over, it’s over. The good news? In these times a Dark Night of the Soul will not last longer than a couple of months as it’s all about being in preparation for winter solstice. The bad news? Going through one with a the rest of the planet could be very, very intense.
