Ask gia—How Can I Find My Life Partner?

Dear gia,
When I first heard about the Law of Attraction, I got very excited. I thought someone was referring to a new way of finding a romantic partner. I have so many women friends in their late 30s and 40s who want partners. They just seem desperate, while the men that age just want to keep playing around and not commit. Or they want the young “no baggage” women.
How can I find and attract a life partner for myself?

A. Attracting a life partner is one of the toughest challenges we have on the planet. This is because of spiritual free will and choice. We might meet someone who astrologically is a perfect fit for us, but if he or she isn’t ready or willing to do the work that is involved in creating a committed relationship then there isn’t much a person can do.
Traditionally, bringing in children was a “glue” that brought people together. But there will be less souls incarnating on the planet in the future so this glue isn’t as available to help people find each other and then stick together.
Partnership is important for many people to be able to express their soul purpose. This is because the masculine energy holds a container of protection for the feminine energy (if you are a woman who is expressing her soul purpose), while the feminine energy nurtures the masculine energy in its dynamic expression (if you are a man who is expressing his soul purpose). It is very hard to hold both roles for ourselves AND express soul purpose.
If you are feeling stuck in your ability to manifest a partner, who will help you consciously or unconsciously express your fullest potential, the following meditation may be helpful:
Bring your awareness into your breath and then into your heart. Connect to the yearning in the high heart (thymus) for a life partner. Imagine a beam of light that is the vibration of love, entering this spot of yearning and filling it up. This energy of the Beloved comes from your Divine Masculine Self, if you are a woman or your Divine Feminine Self, if you are a man. Affirm to the Universe that you are aligning in divine timing to that person who is willing to allow this energy to run through them. Affirm to the Universe that you will allow their Divine Feminine or Masculine Self to run through you. Now, imagine someone standing in front of you who agrees to receive your Divine Feminine/Masculine Self and to protect you or nurture you in bringing forth your life purpose. Affirm that you are ready to receive their Divine Feminine/Masculine Self and to that you will protect or nurture them in bringing forth his/her life purpose.
Release the intention to the Universe. Be relaxed in the timing of this. The Universe will find the person who is in right timing with what you affirmed. Know that the Universe supports you in bringing forth your life purpose and that bringing someone into your life to help you with that is part of that support.
Make room in your life, home and heart for someone new.
If you are already in partnership, doing this meditation can strengthen your relationship and bring you into right timing with each other. It can also release the stress or anxiety of wondering if you are loved or if you are enough, for you are always connected to the Beloved energy, even though the form may change.

What a great post! I love how power-full and empowering it felt. I felt as I read it that if one was to give energy, attention and focus as gia recommends and do the meditation with great intent and clarity, there would absolutely in fact be a manifestation! As in all things, it’s important to be clear and careful what you ask for (and how you ask for it), because you will get it. What a wonderful reminder. Many great thanks gia!
